James Sanders

James Sanders is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending for Univest Bank. He has 15 years of experience in banking and finance, with seven years of additional experience in economic development. In 2008, James joined a public-private-partnership (P3) operated by The Enterprise Center (TEC) on behalf of the U.S. Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA). During his time at TEC, he served in various roles from director of business development to senior director reporting directly to the President of The Enterprise Center. After James left the organization to accept a role with Cape Bank in 2015, he was nominated to serve on the Board of Directors at The Enterprise Center post-employment.

In addition to Archway and TEC, James is a member of the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Redevelopment Authority, the African American Chamber of Commerce PA-NJ-DE, the Montgomery County Community College Foundation, and the American Lung Association – Philadelphia Leadership Board.

Originally from Philadelphia, James earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics & Finance from Virginia State University as well as an Executive MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. In his free time, James enjoys spending time with his wife, kids, and granddaughter.
